How To Install Mods Outside Of Steam For Mac
(I installed civ v through steam) submitted 3 years ago by [deleted] I'd like to try out the earth 2014 mod but I don't know how to install the mod on my steam-bought civ game without using steam. The mod I'm trying to install is The Specialists v2.0 (and then upgrade it to 2.1) but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to show up on Steam. Any help is appreciated, thanks. In order to install steam games on a Mac without Windows, you'll to download the Crossover application. 
After you have the Crossover software, place the CD in your hard drive. Click on 'Install Unsupported Software, after you highlight it in the list. Click 'continue'. Rename the bottle. Push to kindle for mac. Click on create.
Click continue. Follow the install wizard through, accepting the terms and clicking 'next'. Register your product ID, if you haven't already done so. You may have to force the installation. You will need to re-boot, in that case. When you get a popup, you can choose the game that you want to install and click 'install'.
