Plugging in can cause a big voltage spike, what voltage were you running with the LiPo? This is interesting. Might help to understand why it might happen. Long wires and low esr add to the problem.
They make anti spark plugs too, might be more important with higher voltages. Had you just flown prior to plugging-in or was it sitting around beforehand? I give my quads a minimum of 5 minutes to cool down and discharge after flying since I run >=1000uF of capacitance. Otherwise there's a giant SNAP when plugging-in that can't be good for the ESCs or any components. HI, Looking for some BLHeli32 Suite help. FC is a Matek F405. With BF 3.17 from the Matek site. OS is windows 10. Configured to use Dshot 1200. Trying to use pass through. (do I need to enter a CLI command in BF to do pass through with the BLHeli Suite?) The ESCs do beep the motors and I can drive the motors from the BF motors tab so I think the ESCs are correctly wired. Basically I can't seem to connect.

I can connect through Betaflight Configurator fine, so I think my USB/serial driver situation is OK. When I connect to Com port 4 (appears as serial USB in the device manage) with Blheli Suite the connect never happens. I just get the 'PLease connect ECS and power up (Cycle Power). Once I get that I've tried pulling and replacing the batter cable I get the normal boot beeps but no connect.
