Actual (old) version is 3.8.22 (build 32010). Purchased today recommended (by agile) upgrade to 5 for mac for $24.99. In the app it says the old version is the latest version.

Happy WWDC Day, everyone! A large contingent of our developers are out in force in San Jose this week learning about all the cool stuff we'll be working to bring to 1Password later this year. In the meantime, however, we have another update for you. 
Turns out we let a small bug slip through our development process that prevented you from switching vaults in certain circumstances. We've corrected that bug with this update and even tucked a couple more fixes in alongside it. Thank you to everyone who got in touch with us to tell us about this bug, we really appreciate it.
## Improved • Checking for vulnerable passwords is now significantly faster than previous versions. ## Fixed • Corrected an issue where switching vaults in the vault list could fail to actually switch vaults. • Fixed a problem where 'open and fill' from within 1Password mini would sometimes fail to work. 1Password never prompts you for a review because we value your workflow too much to interrupt it.

Great product, but not happy about the subscription I don’t mind buying software again and again if it is something I use.
I do use 1Password and do wish to support the fantastic efforts and yet I despise the subscription model. I feel it works for businesses who utilize certain software to do their business on a regular basis.

They can write such things off. But for the average user who might do a few things with some software now and again subscriptions will gradually creep up and expand to consume ones personal income. And the value is somewhat less. I believe that this developer is exceptional. I love the software. I want to support the developer with money.
I just don’t wish to be locked into a subscription. Therefore I think I will stick with version 6 for now and hope that a 1 time purchase becomes available at some point. Another piece of software I use even more frequently was just upgraded from version 2 to 3 and when that happened they charged for the new version. I bought it because it is worth it.
